Junior Blues' Objective:
There are a record 320 Division 1 women’s college soccer programs in the country,
Over 1,100 in all collegiate programs combined, making soccer the largest women’s college sport.
Sky Blue FC wants to help create the best possible match between female players and college programs.
We also want to give these players a taste of the professional level.
Free Program providing Professional and Collegiate Preparation
Junior Blues' Targets:
Elite female soccer players ages 15-18
Program Details:
Preparation and evaluation categories include technique, decision-making, sports psychology, and agility (speed and conditioning).
Some of the methods and testing are Sky Blue FC innovations, and some are similar to those conducted by U.S. youth National and Full National teams.
Players will also have the opportunity to be integrated into training sessions with Sky Blue FC pros.
Junior Blues' Occur:
Once per week for a ten week period
June – July (tentative)
How do you become a "Junior Blue":
Initial player pool will be determined on players’ applications (subsequently evaluated by references); and coaches’ recommendations.
This is a replica of the process for selection to draft combines of the Women’s Professional Soccer league.
Junior Blues' College Prep Summer Camp:
An optional week of sessions designed for incoming freshman and current college players to best prepare for the crucial college pre-season.
Group will have training opportunities alongside the Sky Blue FC professional team.
Academic advisors will help players match colleges with their academic portfolio and goals.
This camp also includes an informative seminar for parents and coaches.
Added Benefits:
A written evaluation and records will be created for each participant, which Sky Blue FC will use to assist players, club and college coaches.
